What should a med spa's digital marketing strategy focus on?
By the partners at Shefa Atelier ·
The short answer
Focus on booked revenue, not clicks or followers. Decide which treatments you want to grow, make sure every enquiry is tracked from first click to paid visit, and only then choose channels. Strong marketing can't fix a weak follow-up and consultation process.
Start from the business goal
Our co-founder Roxanne Rittberg has extensive digital marketing experience, and the first question she asks is what the business needs: more new clients for a specific treatment, fuller provider calendars, or higher-value plans. The answer changes the strategy.
Track before you spend more
- Tag every campaign link with UTM parameters so you know where enquiries come from.
- Record the source of each enquiry in your booking system or CRM.
- Connect source to outcome: did the enquiry book, attend and pay?
- Compare cost per new paying client by channel, not cost per click.
Choose channels for intent
Search ads and local search reach people already looking for a treatment. Social platforms build awareness and trust over time. Email and SMS (with consent) bring past clients back. Each has a role; few practices need all of them at once.
What we do and don't do
We advise on digital marketing strategy and how it connects to sales. We provide strategic advisory services. We do not provide advertising management, content production or full operational execution. If you work with an agency, we can help you set goals and read their reports.
