How much does a med spa consultant cost?
By the partners at Shefa Atelier ·
The short answer
Med spa consulting cost depends on scope, experience, access and whether the consultant advises or also executes. Compare the work and commitments rather than looking for a universal rate: our Revenue Growth Diagnostic is $995 one-time, and our Private Growth Partnership is $5,000 per month with an initial three-month engagement.
What drives the cost?
The title alone tells you little about the service. A focused review of your revenue process differs from an ongoing advisory relationship, and both differ from someone managing staff or implementing systems. Ask providers to describe the decisions and work their fees cover.
Complexity also matters. Reviewing an established location with reliable reporting is different from untangling inconsistent reporting across locations. Relevant operating experience can influence a proposal, but experience is useful only when it fits the problem you need help solving.
- Scope: a defined business question or a broader growth agenda.
- Access: scheduled conversations, preparation and support between meetings.
- Deliverables: recommendations, written priorities or implementation work.
- Responsibility: advising the owner versus managing day-to-day activity.
How do engagement structures differ?
A fixed project fee ties payment to a defined scope. It can suit an owner who wants a focused assessment, provided the proposal explains what information is reviewed and what the owner receives. Clarify what happens when additional questions fall outside that scope.
A monthly arrangement supports recurring decisions and progress reviews. Hourly or day-based work ties the bill to time used. If a proposal includes performance-linked compensation, ask how results are defined, attributed and verified, and have your professional advisors review the agreement.
What should you compare before accepting a quote?
Compare the total commitment, not just the headline fee. Ask who does the work, how much preparation is included, what meetings produce, and whether implementation needs a separate budget. A less expensive proposal may leave more responsibility with your team.
Be realistic about your own capacity. Paying for detailed recommendations will not solve a problem if nobody can carry them out. The right engagement should fit both your business question and the time your team can devote to change.
- What is included, excluded and charged separately?
- What information must the practice prepare?
- What are the initial commitment and ending terms?
- Who owns implementation after each recommendation?
What does Shefa Atelier charge?
Our Revenue Growth Diagnostic is $995 one-time. It includes a pre-session business questionnaire, review of existing marketing and sales processes, one 60-minute strategy session, a written summary of the top three growth opportunities and a prioritized 30-day action plan.
Our Private Growth Partnership is $5,000 per month, with an initial three-month engagement. It includes two private 60-minute strategy calls each month, revenue and customer acquisition strategy, conversion and retention recommendations, monthly priorities and KPI review, and limited asynchronous advisory support.
The Diagnostic suits an owner seeking a focused outside perspective. The Partnership suits an owner who wants recurring strategic guidance while their team carries out agreed priorities. Neither promises a financial outcome. We provide strategic advisory services. We do not provide advertising management, content production or full operational execution.
